I was editing on a 4K timeline, however I have now dropped to just a 1080p timeline and I still am having issues. It can be original clips from the Media Browser or more edited footage from the timeline. Any type of playback now is choppy and pretty difficult to edit with. I've been using this system for around 6 months now, and have had relatively few issues with it up until about 2 weeks ago. The cards are regularly formatted and cleared off after reaching 60% capacity. I edit off BRAW 8:1 from a BMPCC 6K Pro as well as a BMPCC 4K sometimes using Samsung T5 SSDs and the occasional SandDisk Extreme Portable SSD. Coming to this late but I just found a great tutorial on how to speed up playback in Da Vinci Resolve v15 (though I guess it would still work with later version).
