Note that simply expressing interest will not be considered registration. Please include 'Johns Hopkins Quizbowl Tournament Registration' in the subject line. Please email by April 3rd and indicate the number of teams, number of buzzers, number of potential staffers. The field is tentatively capped at 24 teams. Following March 20, 2017, any fourth through sixth teams from that school on the waitlist will be moved off of the waitlist and registered (assuming that there are spots still open). Until two weeks prior to the registration deadline (March 20, 2017), only three teams from a school may register for the JHU Blue Jay Bowl subsequent teams (up to an additional three, for six total) from the same school will be placed on the waitlist. We recommend no more than four members on a team, so that students may play the maximum number of rounds. There is a maximum of 6 players and a minimum of 1 player on each team - no exceptions without explicit permission from the tournament director. Parking is available at the South Garage, at the flat rate of $8 for the entire day. Pizza will be sold near lunch time, and various restaurants may be found in the vicinity of Johns Hopkins. $20 for staffers, -$5 per working buzzer set. Checks should made payable to 'Johns Hopkins University.' Please bring payment on the day of the tournament.

$75 per team (minimum of $40 after discounts applied), either cash or check only.

Additionally, this tournament is Platinum Certified by PACE, meaning that the top 25% of the field will qualify for the PACE NSC. Per the NAQT qualification rules, the top 15% of the field will qualify for the NAQT High School National Championship Tournament (HSNCT). We will be using NAQT Invitational Series #164. This tournament will follow official NAQT rules (which can be viewed at ) with slight modifications on timing. Registration starts at 7:30 am and will occur in Gilman 50, and the tournament will begin at 8:30 am. Johns Hopkins University, on Sunday, April 9th, 2017.
